i've said this before but it's pretty much just an mspfa written by hussie. it recontextualizes things but all extensions of homestuck do that
homestuck is a wonderful piece of work that stands on its own and continuations can be good but i don't think any extension will be the de-facto sequel to me
for an example of what i'm talking about: roxy has always been trans as fuck, but in homestuck it wasn't obvious if they had transitioned by the time we first see them. i've always liked girlroxy but postcanon works with the tools homestuck provides to give more implications to boyroxy being a thing. and it does it really well! it put me from the side of "what the fuck why does postcanon do this" to "oh they pulled it off somehow". and honestly after reading it i can say that "oh they pulled it off somehow" is an apt description of postcanon as a whole
