I’ve been trying to install .NET 2.0 on my Windows 98SE PC for about a week now and no matter what I do, it just throws an error and does a rollback, which sometimes corrupts the registry! I even tried a fresh reinstall of the OS and it still does it! Others have tried it on their own PCs and they said it worked fine for them!

I have no idea why it isn’t working for me. A bad hard drive perhaps?
