Life is good. Today, I clawed my way out of bed and staggered upstairs for work. I worked for several hours (including a couple of meetings) before breaking for a late lunch, which was bread and cheese bought yesterday from South Street & Vine, the second-closest retail establishment to my home. After more work, I walked to the third-closest retail establishment, Red Ginger, a coffee shop, for a mocha. More work. Then back to South Street and Vine for a wine tasting, where I bought a delightful Spanish red and a clean French white, as well as some great cheese. Put those away, then walked downtown for the Irish music session with Óran Mòr. Took a break from that to go to a different bar to pick up my team T-shirt for the beach volleyball season. Then back to the craic. Wandered home and made dinner from eggs I bought at the farmers market down the street, local beer, and local ice cream. Life is good. |
